Run your own search connection.

This optional starter runs SearXNG with DuckDuckGo image and video connectors, plus Wikimedia Commons. No SearXNG signup or paid search API key is needed.

On your computer

  1. Install Docker and Python 3.11 or newer.
  2. Unzip the package and open a terminal in its folder.
  3. Run python setup.py, then the command below.
  4. Open http://localhost:8888 on that computer.

Connect it to the website

Starting it locally does not automatically connect the public NEX Black Search website. It needs a reachable HTTPS bridge or supported private tunnel and secure server-side settings. The included guide explains this step. Keep the host running for live searches.

What is ready

The download includes server configuration, unique-key setup, an authenticated bridge and connection instructions. NEX Black Search has the connector ready. The server has not been started on your computer; this environment cannot launch Docker.

Search availability depends on each provider. SearXNG is third-party open-source software; our gallery and bridge remain NEX Black Search’s own code. No AI model is required.
